The Hague

The Hague is the third largest city in the Netherlands and although the city is not the capital of the Netherlands, the Dutch government and parliament are located here. This also applies to the residence of our Royal House and many embassies and ministries. The Hague is also the city with many national and international courts. The hague has more than 500,000 inhabitants of which about 10% expats. The flag has the city colors yellow and green and is provided with a proud stork, which as a symbol of The Hague can also be seen in the city coat of arms. The Hague is the only large Dutch city on the North Sea and has a coastline of eleven kilometers. The town has two beach resorts: Scheveningen and Kijkduin and has a beautiful canals belt that you can admire with a tour boat. ADO Den Haag is the city's football club and has existed since 1905. The Hague's delicacies include Haagsehopjes, the Haagse Kakker, the famous Hazelnut cream pastry and the one and only Haagse Kruìde Baggâh.
